Exploring Ahmedabad, Heritage Walk; Part:1
Hi, there :) How are you doing?
This weekend, I went on to explore the 'heritage city of
India'- Ahmedabad. Yeah! I went on the heritage walk this Sunday. It was real
fun, plus I got some really amazing shots on my way, which I wanna share with
you guys now :D
- So, the very first place I visited was 'Swaminarayan Temple'. This is a very beautiful live example of a bright color palette, and the interaction of colors with each other.
- This is the 'Haveli' area, in the North side of the temple. It's great artistic appeal, that caught my eye and forced me to take a snap.
- Remember, 'Courage, the cowardly dog', from our childhood, whom we used to meet everyday on cartoon network, after our schools, during our lunch times?... Well, I found his house! Lol, Just kidding :p
Actually, this was some random house, which I accidentally found and then I laughed so hard upon co-relating with my favorite dog 'Courage' :D
- This is a "bird- feeder". Such bird- feeders are installed all the way round in Ahmedabad. There, some water, and food is kept, so that birds feed themselves and no bird catches heat-stroke even in such high temperatures, as, 50 degree Celsius!
- Let's play Hide-n-seek \(^o^)/
(Mr Pigeon wants to play too!)
- This is one of the pillars of 'Kaala Ramji Mandir'. Beautifully carved. Notice those figures of deities, carved out there, and don't miss the intricate details!
Ouch. XD
- This pastel color palette of these old houses is really cool. ^_^
- Amid all the chaos, there was something really striking...and that were those little windows in every house :D
- Aesthetics of the old city never fail to impress me <3 Totally in love with this! :*
There's a lot more to come in the series. I'll be posting more photographs soon. Till then, stay tuned!
I like architectural, street photography and stuff more than nature and all, but still, if you guys want me to post some of them, too, then do let me know for sure! :)

ReplyDeleteMost of us know about India's great heritage and culture. So many kings who ruled India used to show their culture and heritage in the form of great mason cenotaph and structures.
